This Peacock fabric art collage was created using various applications of layers of fabric in different shapes/sizes/textures/tints bringing life to the layers of colorful feathers.

It is natural that there is movement from the original drawing concept as I allow the fabric to influence my positioning during the defining process.

For this art piece, I utilized a vintage asian embrodery satiny silk fabric for the background to provide an illusion of a beautiful Indian garden fitting of a perched peacock.

The final step in completing the art piece is utilize a thread painting technique, layering the stitching and filling in shapes and motifs to further embellish and apply shading where needed.
